About
An untraditional path, a holistic designer.
I was born and raised on the shores of Wisconsin and have since sought out adventures in Brazil, New York City and now San Francisco.
I transitioned to design after 10+ years in communications and social innovation. My design path has been a bit untraditional, but my experiences only make my work more relevant.
I currently am a Marketing and Design Manager for Chem-Impex, a worldwide chemical supplier. Prior to this, I helped develop a design framework as a customer experience strategist at Humana. And years before that, I collaborated on social equity projects at the local and international levels, whether designing curriculum in Americorps, or storytelling for innovative grassroots initiatives at the renowned Brazilian NGO BrazilFoundation.
I hold a Master’s of Interaction Design degree from California College of the Arts, where I focused on design research and strategy for social innovation. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations (Economics focus) and Portuguese from UW-Madison.

I've worked with companies like:

I am a mission-driven, curious thinker with a relentless pursuit to understand how the world ticks.
Civic explorations
My passion for civic responsibility spills into my personal life, whether through volunteering and urban exploration. My passion projects most always focus on wicked problems, like misinformation, or systems challenges, like migration across the U.S. border and economic development policies.

I love harnessing my creativity, humor and global perspective to create joy and equity.
Play
Art and making have always been a part of my life, both as hobbies and in my design process. I especially enjoy making wearables, illustration, photography, and dance, and I'm inspired by food and nature, and I love incorporating humor into my creations.
